NFL Free Agency: 5 Best Wide Receivers Available In 2025

The wide receivers that are available for this year’s NFL free agency period make up the deepest and most talent-laden position of any. There are elite talents that will be available for the right price, including Pro Bowlers like Davante Adams and Stefon Diggs.
NFL Free Agency: 5 Best Wide Receivers Available In 2025
Which ones are the cream of the crop? We take a look at the top five wideouts that are on the market in 2025:
1. Davante Adams
The Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams pairing didn’t work out with the New York Jets last season, and Adams’ next team will be his third in the past year. He is still considered to be one of the elite wide receivers in the NFL, and is perhaps the biggest fish on the free agents market regardless of position. Despite the tumultuous season in 2024, he was able to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards for the fifth straight time, and scored eight touchdowns.
There should be teams lining up to make offers for Adams. He is 32 years old and will likely be searching for some long-term security, so a contract offer for three years would make sense. According to Spotrac, he should have a market value of $13.2 million per year.
2. Stefon Diggs
Diggs’ lone year in Houston was cut short by injury. He suffered a torn ACL after playing in just eight games, and interested teams will likely keep his rehabilitation process in mind. He was still productive in the games that he did play, amassing nearly 500 yards and scoring three touchdowns, though his averages took a noticeable drop after leaving Josh Allen and the Bills.
Stefon Diggs and the aforementioned Adams are alone in the elite tier of free agent wide receivers, and Diggs has a chance to secure the same kind of pay day. He is a year younger than Adams, and has an argument for being nearly as productive in his best years. Spotrac has his market value listed at $13.5 million per year.
3. Chris Godwin
Chris Godwin has an argument for belonging in the top tier of available wide receivers. He surpassed the 1,000 yard mark four of the last five seasons before 2024, but he too had his season ended early due to suffering a nasty ankle dislocation injury. The then-28-year-old was enjoying one of the best years of his career in the eight games that he played in, averaging 82.3 yards per game and scoring five touchdowns in seven contests.
He’ll have a robust market as well. Godwin was able to put up the numbers that he did despite always being the no.2 wide receiver behind Mike Evans, and could wind up as a no.1 for the first time in his career, depending on the situation that he joins.
4. Keenan Allen
Keenan Allen is coming off arguably the worst season of his career. He was a part of a Bears offense that failed to get off of the ground in 2024, and he posted the lowest yards per game average ever, including his rookie year. He was able to find the end zone seven times, but the rest of his numbers were down across the board.
His struggles may cost him some money on his next contract, but there will still be teams interested in Allen’s services. He is a big target with a well-established track record, and will likely come at a cheaper price than some of the other options on the wide receiver market.
5. Amari Cooper
Amari Cooper has been, somewhat quietly, one of the more consistent veteran wide receivers in the NFL. His next team will be his fourth since 2021, but he racked up 2,410 yards and 14 touchdowns in his last two full seasons with the Browns. His numbers saw a big drop in 2024, as he had just 547 yards and 4 touchdowns while playing for both Cleveland and Buffalo.
Despite already playing ten seasons in the NFL, Cooper will be just 31 years old when the 2025 season starts. He already cashed in on what will be the largest deal of his career when he signed a $100 million deal five years ago, but will still be one of the free agent wideouts making the most money annually.
