Of the ten NFL teams that have started the season with a 2-0 record, few have been more impressive than the Indianapolis Colts. Now, with the Houston Texans struggling to get things going, Daniel Jones and company are the betting favorites to win the AFC South.
NFL Odds: Colts Now Favored To Win The AFC South
There wasn’t much expected out of the four teams in the AFC South in 2025. The Houston Texans entered the season as the favorite to take home the division crown, and were listed at +110 (47% implied odds) to do so. In fact, they were the only one of the bunch projected to finish the year with a winning record.

But through the first two weeks, the Texans have yet to pick up a win. Losses against the Rams and Buccaneers have DeMeco Ryan’s team at 0-2, and they are no longer the favorites to finish in the top spot in the South. Instead, they are now down to +240 (29%), behind even the Jaguars, who are sitting at +210.
The Colts, who have made NFL history in the first two weeks, are now the favorites. The sample size is small, but newcomer quarterback Daniel Jones is having a career resurgence so far, as Indianapolis’ offense has yet to punt or turn the ball over in the first eight quarters of play. No team in league history has ever accomplished that feat.

They are now the favorites. After starting the season with +350 odds, the Colts are now down to +135 (42%).
If they are able to keep up their solid play, Indy has a good chance to stay atop the odds board. Only two of their next six opponents were playoff teams a season ago, starting with a date in Nashville against the Titans for Week 3. They’ll stay on the road to play the Rams in Week 4, before returning home to take on the Raiders and Cardinals.
