NFL Playoffs: Vikings vs. Rams Expert Picks, Player Props, & Best Bets

Vikings vs. Rams Expert Picks, Player Props, & Best Bets looks at the best bets for NFL Wildcard Weekend Monday Night Football.
We’ve already started 4-0 in the NFL playoffs with wins and player prop wins in both the Texans and Commanders weekend wins.
Monday night brings a Week 8 rematch with everything on the line, as the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams face off in the final game of the Wild Card round. One last contest will decide who advances to the divisional round, and it promises to be a thriller under the primetime lights.
The Rams find themselves in an unusual position, “hosting” the Vikings in Glendale, Arizona. Due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, the game was relocated from SoFi Stadium to State Farm Stadium—a rival’s home turf.
It’s a gut punch for Sean McVay’s squad, losing the comforts of home-field advantage during such a critical matchup. Yet, the Rams are no strangers to adversity and have embraced the challenge, determined to rise above the disruptions and deliver a winning performance to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Only one playoff game this weekend has gone over the total, and that was the first one played as the Chargers and Texans hit the over on Saturday afternoon with a late Joe Mixon rushing touchdown. That has me looking at the over at this one being played inside a dome.
Surprisingly, there is a lot of action on the Rams, somewhat discounting the Viking’s 14-win season. While I lean the Viings, we’re looking at the total in this one. Dating back to their title-winning 2021-22 campaign, Stafford has posted gaudy numbers in his last four playoff appearances: 366, 337, 283, and 367 yards through the air. Those performances set the tone for high-stakes matchups and will put pressure on Minnesota’s offense to keep pace.

Both teams boast high-powered offenses that, by Expected Scores metrics, were unlucky not to find the end zone more often during the regular season. In recent weeks, offensive momentum has only grown. The Rams, in particular, have surged forward, benefiting from a healthier offensive line and the return of stars Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp.
Defensively, the Rams have also found their stride as key players have returned to action. Meanwhile, the Vikings have seen slight regression on the defensive side when factoring in more recent performances.
With two teams peaking at just the right time, this matchup promises to deliver the kind of drama and fireworks only the playoffs can provide. The stage is set for a quarterback duel and a battle of wills in a win-or-go-home showdown. I like this over to hit.
Justin Jefferson | WR | Vikings | Longest Reception OVER 27.5 Yards (-115)
Justin Jefferson has been a walking highlight reel, consistently delivering explosive plays when his team needs them most. Over the past three games, Jefferson has recorded a catch of 30 or more yards in each outing and has done so in five of his last seven appearances.
To hit the Over on his longest reception Monday night, he’ll need to notch a 28-yard catch—a feat he’s achieved in nine games this season. He narrowly missed in three others, including the Week 8 matchup against the Rams, where he hauled in a 27-yard pass as part of a stellar nine-catch, 115-yard performance.

The Rams’ secondary has been vulnerable all season, surrendering more 20+ yard completions than nearly every other team in the league. Over their last seven games, they’ve allowed nine catches of 30+ yards, with four of their last five opponents seeing their top receiver burn them for at least one deep strike.
With 47 targets in his last four games, Jefferson has become the centerpiece of the Vikings’ passing attack. Facing a Rams defense ranked 25th in pass defense DVOA and struggling to generate pressure, Jefferson is primed to add another big play to his growing highlight reel Monday night. Expect Sam Darnold to find him downfield against a secondary that’s struggled to contain star receivers.
Best Bets:
- OVER 47
- Justin Jefferson | WR | Vikings | Longest Reception OVER 27.5 Yards (-115)
