The NFL International Series has been expanding to new lengths in recent years, and it doesn’t appear that the league is slowing down any time soon. Games were held in Brazil and Spain for the first time in recent seasons, adding to the usual UK and Germany contests that have become mainstays. And according to reports, there will be even more new locations around the globe in 2026.
NFL International Series Set To Expand To Paris, France In 2026
On Wednesday morning, it was reported by New Orleans Saints team president Dennis Lauscha that the franchise is planning on playing a game in Paris, France in the coming years. In fact, it could be happening as early as next season.
The New Orleans Saints are expected to play a game in Paris as early as the 2026 season, according to @AdamSchefter.

With the NFL always having its sights set on new places to play, the Saints make the most sense for a game in France. The New Orleans region is heavily influenced by the French, and the team logo itself is a nod to the culture. The “Fleur-De-Lis” emblem on the side of the helmet, the design that represents the franchise, is the symbol of the City of New Orleans and of France’s Royal Family.
Should everything go as planned with the expansion, it will be the 8th international market that the NFL has played a regular season game in. The concept began in 2007 with the London Games, where the International Series was primarily played until 2016. It was Mexico City that joined at that time, and Germany has hosted games in multiple cities since 2022. Brazil was added to the slate in 2024, and Madrid, Spain hosted the country’s first game just last week.

There have already been official plans announced for a game in Australia in 2026.
New Orleans has long been one of the NFL’s most internationally marketable franchises thanks to its vibrant culture, passionate fan base, and deep musical and culinary identity. Bringing that flavor to Paris not only helps the Saints strengthen their brand globally, but it also positions them as a key figure in the NFL’s next era of international expansion. If the 2026 matchup succeeds, the Paris game could become a staple on the league’s calendar.
