Has the NFL decreased its coverage of Taylor Swift? The Kansas City Chiefs’ most famous fan has been featured sparingly during this season’s broadcasts. Why is that?

The past few seasons, Swift has been the NFL’s secret weapon. Because of her engagement to tight end Travis Kelce, Swift has frequently been spotlighted on Chiefs’ broadcasts.
However, Swift’s presence on the TV broadcasts has decreased.
Why has the NFL stopped showing Swift? It’s an interesting question posed by Front Office Sports’ Ryan Glasspiegel.
For starters, Swift is attending fewer games. While she sits in a luxury suite at Arrowhead, Swift is not traveling to road games this season. Part of the absence can be attributed to Swift’s promotion of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, released on October 3, 2025.
Swift has not been to a Chiefs’ road game since November 2024, when she attended the Bills game in Buffalo (per USAToday).
Kelce’s struggles might be affecting Swift’s lack of broadcast time. On paper, Kelce’s numbers remain in the upper echelon for tight ends — 60 receptions, for 727 yards and five touchdowns.
However, Kelce has committed several mistakes in key moments this season. Kelce dropped a pass at a crucial moment in Week 2’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The ball ricocheted into the hands of an Eagles defender, ending the Chiefs’ drive.
This past week, Kelce dropped a ball that transformed into an interception in the Texans’ 20-10 win over the Chiefs.
The NFL doesn’t typically flash to significant others during times of despair.
“One final element is that, as a matter of etiquette, sports broadcast partners typically do not show significant others in moments of on-field or on-court distress for athletes,” Glasspiegel writes. “For example, on Cowboys games, they’ll show owner Jerry Jones at times of anguish, but viewers won’t catch a glimpse of Dak Prescott’s fiancée.”
Chiefs’ Playoff Chances on Life Support
Chiefs were credited with 6 drops vs. Texans.
By my methods it's 8 as they don't count the Thornton TD and Rice hard hit because of contact. Which is just a reason for the drop.

Can you remember a time when Patrick Mahomes missed the postseason as a starter? It’s never happened.
At 6-7, the Kansas City Chiefs are in danger of missing the postseason for the first time in the Mahomes era.
Heading into Week 15, the Chiefs have a 10% chance of making the playoffs, per NFL.com. With a win, it moves to 16%. It drops to less than 1% when there is a loss.
The Chiefs could be eliminated this week if they lose to the Los Angeles Chargers, and the Bills beat the Patriots, the Jaguars beat the Jets, and the Texans beat the Cardinals.
A win over the Chargers will keep their postseason dreams alive.
