The New York Giants have a chance to expedite their rebuild in the next week with the No. 4 trade deadline rapidly approaching. Here are three players the Giants could move.

Kayvon Thibodeaux

One of the more intriguing names in trade rumors is defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux. There have been conflicting reports about the availability of the fourth-year edge rusher.

Jordan Schultz suggested that teams could be interested in Thibodeaux’s services if the Giants make him available.

Conversely, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that the Giants have “no interest” in trading Thibodeaux.

Selected with the fifth pick of the 2022 draft, Thibodeaux has not become the elite pass rusher the Giants hoped they were getting. In 2023, Thibodeaux flashed his potential with a career-high 11.5 sacks. However, Thibodeaux has fewer than six sacks in each of his other two seasons.

Thibodeaux has registered 2.5 sacks and 21 total tackles in 2025.

Thibodeaux is under contract through next season after the Giants picked up his fifth-year option.

Never say never, but Thibodeaux will likely stay on the team for at least the rest of this season.

Jameis Winston

Jaxson Dart is the Giants’ starting quarterback for the rest of the season. If Dart goes down with an injury, Russell Wilson is listed as the backup.

Where does that leave Jameis Winston? The third-string quarterback is beloved by the Giants, especially in the locker room.

However, Winston could seriously help a quarterback-dependent team this season.

The Arizona Cardinals, Carolina Panthers, San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints, and Cincinnati Bengals have all played backup quarterbacks this season due to injuries or poor play from the starter.

Winston is a free agent at the end of the season. If the organization could turn Winston into a Day 3 pick, why not part ways with him before the deadline?

Jalin Hyatt

Frankly, Giants wide receiver Jalin Hyatt may not have any trade value whatsoever.

The Giants made Hyatt a healthy scratch in Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. It marked the first healthy scratch of Hyatt’s career.

New York had high hopes for Hyatt, who was drafted out of Tennessee in the 2023 third round. Hyatt caught 23 receptions for 373 yards.

It’s only gone downhill for Hyatt since his rookie campaign. Hyatt made eight receptions in 2024 and has three receptions in 2025.

Hyatt is clearly not part of the Giants’ future. New York would probably take what it can get in a Hyatt trade. However, New York might end up cutting Hyatt once the trade deadline passes.
