As the calendar turns to July, the NFL is one step closer to the 2025 season. Teams will convene for training camp toward the end of the month. Below is everything you need to know about NFL training camp, including team schedules, sites, and important dates.

Training camp season is upon us. Starting July 12, players will begin reporting to their respective training camps.
The Los Angeles Chargers and Detroit Lions will face off in the 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame Game on July 31 in Canton, Ohio. Because it’s the first game of the preseason, the Chargers and Lions will report to their respective training camps earlier than most teams.
The Chargers’ rookies will report on July 12, while veterans will arrive on July 16. The Lions’ rookies will report on July 16, with veterans coming in on July 19.
The rest of the league will report by July 23.
Unlike offseason OTAs, training camp is mandatory for players. If players miss training camp due to contract disputes, teams can fine them.
For example, Cincinnati’s Trey Hendrickson is a name to keep an eye on. Hendrickson is in a contractual dispute that has gone public. Hendrickson has made a threat to boycott training camp and miss games if he fails to secure a new contract. So far, the Bengals have not budged from their initial offers.
