The Cleveland Browns received great news as Nick Chubb returned to practice. When will the star running back return to action?

Nick Chubb Returns To Practices

This marks Chubb’s first practice since Week 2 of the 2023 season. Chubb suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Chubb’s injury required two surgeries to repair his medial capsule, meniscus, MCL, and ACL.

The Browns running back was designated to return on October 2, opening up his 21-day window to return. While Chubb is unlikely to play this week, the former second-team All-Pro is happy to be back on the field.

“It didn’t feel real. It felt like a dream. I’ve been battling this for a while now, so it was great to get all that off my shoulders and finally get back out there,” Chubb told reporters. “It felt good to be out there with the guys. It’s been almost a complete year me not being out there, so it felt great to get out there.”

Nick Chubb Will Inject Life Into Cleveland’s Offense

The Browns are at a crossroads. The offense is struggling to move the ball, ranking 31st in total yards per game and 26th in rushing yards per game.

While Jerome Ford averages 5.2 yards per attempt, the bigger issues revolve around Deshaun Watson’s struggles. Watson looks like a shell of his former self, ranking 31st in passing yards.

Before his injury, Chubb was widely considered one of the running backs in the league.

Chubb surpassed 996 rushing yards in each of his first five seasons, with four exceeding 1,000.

The Browns’ next three games include at Commanders, at Eagles, and vs. Bengals.
