Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni keeps receipts for those who wanted him fired, even if that someone is a producer for one of the most successful sports podcasts, Pardon My Take.

Nick Sirianni Calls Out Pardon My Take Producer

Sirianni was one of the guests on Monday’s Pardon My Take podcast.

After the Eagles’ 2023 season ended with a Wild Card loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, many Philly fans called for Sirianni’s job.

One of those dissenting voices was Pardon My Take producer Max Dolente. As a diehard Eagles fan, Dolente took his frustration out on Sirianni after the Bucs’ loss, calling the coach a “loser” and saying he “never wanted to hear from him again.”

Fast forward to now, with Sirianni leading the Eagles to victory in Super Bowl LIX.

After the victory, Sirianni was seen taking pictures with fans. Dolente, who attended the game, did ask for a picture with Sirianni.

“I didn’t ask for a picture because I was like, ‘This is the best night of his life.'” Dolente said. “I wanted you to enjoy the night and not get hounded with a bunch of pictures.”

Sirianni interrupted Dolente and said, “Wait a second, Max. You wanted me fired.”

An embarrassed Dolente laughed it off, saying, “People in Philly, sometimes we get overemotional and say things we don’t mean.”

The back-and-forth banter was all in good fun.

Nick Sirianni Silenced His Critics In 2024

Dolente’s comments were extreme, but Sirianni starting 2024 on the hot seat was a real thing.

The Eagles’ collapse at the end of the 2023-2024 season led to major changes in Philadelphia, including the hirings of Kellen Moore and Vic Fangio as the new offensive and defensive coordinators, respectively.

The Eagles started the 2024-2025 season off on a rocky note, with a 2-2 record after four weeks.

After a Week 5 bye, the Eagles came out guns blazing, winning 12 of the next 13 regular-season games to secure the No. 2 seed.

The Eagles won three games in the NFC Playoffs before destroying the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX by a score of 40-22.
