This weekend marks the arrival of Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, the third film in the heist series. Will Now You See Me: Now You Don’t become a box office hit?

What is Now You See Me: Now You Don’t About?

The Four Horsemen return for their third go-around as illusionists who happen to be the world’s greatest thieves.

The Horsemen include Jesse Eisenberg as J. Daniel Atlas, Woody Harrelson as Merritt McKinney, Dave Franco as Jack Wilder, and Isla Fisher as Henley Reeves.

In Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, Atlas, who is working without his fellow Horsemen, recruits three new members to his team: Charlie (Justice Smith), Bosco (Dominic Sessa), and June (Ariana Greenblatt). Atlas has his eye on the Heart Diamond, the most valuable jewel in history.

The mission is to steal the diamond from Veronika Vanderberg (Rosamund Pike), who sells the precious jewels to warlords, arms dealers, and traffickers.

When Atlas’s heist goes awry, he’s saved by Merritt, Jack, and Henley. Now, this super team of illusionists is joined by Thaddeus Bradley (Morgan Freeman) in their mission to take down Vanderberg’s criminal network.

Ruben Fleischer directs from a screenplay by Michael Lesslie, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese, and Seth Grahame-Smith. The script is based on a story by Eric Warren Singer and Lesslie.

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is the third movie in the franchise, behind 2016’s Now You See Me 2 and 2013’s Now You See Me. A fourth film is in development.

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t opens in theaters on November 14, 2025.

The Now You See Me franchise has become a reliable box-office hit. The first film in 2013 opened to $29.3 million domestically before it ended its worldwide run at $351.7 million.

2016’s Now You See Me 2 opened to $22.3 million domestically and grossed $334.8 million worldwide.

The two films combined have grossed over $700 million worldwide, a solid total for an original franchise.

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is expected to open over $20 million, with some estimates putting it at $25 million.

The heist film was expected to compete with The Running Man for the No. 1 spot at the box office. However, early tracking suggests that The Running Man might disappoint with an opening of under $20 million.
