The Kansas City Chiefs are about to embark on one of the toughest stretches of their schedule. The Chiefs will play three games in 11 days, culminating with a matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day.

Patrick Mahomes Comments On Chiefs’ Schedule

The Chiefs play the Browns on Sunday, a game against the Texans the following Saturday, and a Wednesday game against the Steelers.

Mahomes acknowledges that the team wants to avenge their Christmas Day loss from last season. However, the two-time MVP is not thrilled about the amount of games in a short period of time.

“It is not a good feeling,” Mahomes told reporters via KMBC. “I’m excited to play on Christmas to hopefully get back from what we did last year, but you never want to play this many games in this short of time. It’s just not great for your body. But at the end of the day, it’s your job, your profession. You have to come to work and do it.”

It’s foreign territory for the entire Chiefs’ team, including head coach Andy Reid, who will try to “make the best of it.”

“That’s a unique situation,” said Reid. “You just have to manage it. It is what it is. You make the best of it. One thing is you’ve got to get guys ready for a game, give them the chance to do whatever you present to them. So, I help them out now. We’ve got a normal week right here. So, we’ve got to take care of business.”

Chiefs Are Not The Only Team With Tough Stretch
