Mark Andrews faces an uncertain future with the Baltimore Ravens. See what Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said about Andrews and if he’ll be on the roster to start the 2025 season.
Ravens GM On Mark Andrews
Eric DeCosta addresses the potential of trading Mark Andrews come Draft weekend:
"Oh man. I never what's gonna happen, Jeff. I would never want to say this or that. But I can tell you this: Mark Andrews is a warrior. And he's played his butt off for us. … We're in the… pic.twitter.com/oLCBmw5x3o

DeCosta spoke with the media today to discuss the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.
One of the questions involved Andrews and whether DeCosta would trade the veteran during the draft.
DeCosta remained noncommittal, adding further speculation that the Ravens might consider parting ways with Andrews.
“I never know what’s going to happen,” DeCosta told reporters via Bobby Trosset. “I would never want to say this or that. But I can tell you this: Mark Andrews is a warrior, and he’s played his butt off for us. And his competitiveness, his talent, his attitude, his leadership is so valued here. And he’s a great player. I think we’re in the business of keeping as many great players as we can. So, there’s always a lot of unpredictability with the draft. You just never know.”
Last month, head coach John Harbaugh told reporters at the NFL Owners’ meetings that he expects Andrews to be on the Ravens’ roster this season.
“Mark’s in a good place. He’s working really hard,” Harbaugh said via Ravens.com. “I do fully expect him to be playing for us next year. He’s just too good a player.”

Like with most veteran players, it comes down to age and money.
Andrews, 29, is entering the final year of his four-year, $56 million contract. Andrews’ cap number is the third-highest on the team at $16.9 million.
The Ravens already paid Andrews his $4 million roster bonus on March 17.
If the Ravens moved Andrews, they would gain $11 million in cap space.
The emergence of Isaiah Likely — who had a career season in 2024 with 42 receptions, 477 receiving yards, and six touchdowns — is one of the reasons why the Ravens might move on from Andrews.
One player who might want Andrews back on the roster is quarterback Lamar Jackson. Andrews is a pass-catching machine, with 436 receptions (third in franchise history), 5,530 yards (second in franchise history), and a franchise-record 51 touchdowns.
Andrews struggled last season with only 55 receptions and 673 yards. However, the tight end did catch a career-high 11 touchdowns.
