Russell Wilson Next Team Odds: Raiders Favored For A Reunion With Pete Carroll

One of the more fluid quarterback situations in the NFL is that of the Pittsburgh Steelers. After going with a tandem attack last season, it is unclear if the team intends to keep one of Russell Wilson or Justin Fields, and both players could be searching for new homes when free agency kicks off next week.
There are questions surrounding Wilson, mostly regarding how much he has left in the tank. The 14-year NFL veteran will turn 37 years old during the upcoming 2025 campaign, and any team that signs him will likely do so on a very short-term basis.

Which team will that be? We dive in to the odds for which franchise Wilson is most likely to play for next season:
Las Vegas Raiders (+150)
The Raiders have been mentioned as a possible destination for many former Seattle Seahawks players. Pete Carroll is the new head coach in Las Vegas after spending 14 years in Seattle, and maintained positive player relationships that could bode well for his first year with his new team.
Wilson isn’t any different, apparently. The coach and quarterback enjoyed plenty of success together in Seattle, including two Super Bowl appearances and one Lombardi Trophy. And now that Carroll is with a new team that has a gaping hole at the quarterback position, the connection between the two gives the Raiders the shortest odds of landing Russell Wilson this off-season.
Tennessee Titans (+250)
The Titans hold the no.1 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, and are in desperate need of a franchise quarterback. They’ve drafted Malik Willis and Will Levis in two of the past three drafts, neither of which panned out the way that they’d hoped, and they are hoping that the third time will be the charm.
But we are still more than six weeks away from the start of the selection process, and it is unclear what Tennessee intends to do with their valuable draft stock. Regardless of what direction they choose to go in, a veteran quarterback could be a stopgap option. Given the free agent market for quarterbacks this year, there may be no better player to bring in on a one-year deal than Russell Wilson.
New York Jets (+300)
After the failed Aaron Rodgers experiment, the Jets will be looking for a new signal caller in 2025. They could look to go young, in order to pair their new head coach with a potential franchise quarterback, but they likely lack the necessary draft capital in what is projected to be a weak QB class.
That would mean that the possible play would be to bring in a veteran for a year or two, especially if they don’t go after one of the “big” fish like Sam Darnold, who is seeking long-term security. Wilson could end up being the type of player that they are looking for, who is likely to sign a one or two-year contract wherever he ends up.
