Shedeur Sanders walks on the field.

One week before the 2025 NFL Draft, the New York Giants are getting one more look at Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

Giants Will Host Shedeur Sanders For A Workout

Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, the Giants will host Sanders for a private workout on Thursday.

With Miami’s Cam Ward expected to be the first pick in the draft, Sanders is widely considered to be the next quarterback to come off the board.

The Giants hold the No. 3 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

New York does not have a long-term plan at quarterback. The Giants signed Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston to short-term deals this offseason.

The Giants have been linked to Sanders since the beginning of the offseason. General manager Joe Schoen, head coach Brian Daboll, and more Giants brass attended Colorado’s Pro Day to watch Sanders.

The Giants clearly want one more look at Sanders before deciding on who to take with the third pick.

The oddsmakers at BetOnline still have Penn State’s Abdul Carter (-300) and Colorado’s Travis Hunter (+250) as the likely choices for the Giants. Sanders (+550) has the third-best draft odds.

Which Teams Could Draft Shedeur Sanders?

Without a franchise quarterback, the Cleveland Browns are in play to take Sanders at No. 2. With Deshaun Watson missing most of the 2025 season, the Browns will either start Kenny Pickett or Joe Flacco if they don’t draft Sanders.

Despite their quarterback needs, Albert Breer reported that the Browns and Giants are “unlikely” to take Sanders with their first-round selections.

After Sanders falls outside of the top three, the Las Vegas Raiders (No. 6) and New York Jets (No. 7) are the next two teams on Sanders’ watch.

The New Orleans Saints at No. 9 are now in play because of the uncertainty surrounding Derek Carr and his injured shoulder.

The 2025 NFL Draft is scheduled for April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
