Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby is one of the greatest players in league history. Crosby is about to lose over $6 million by no fault of his own.

One day after getting into a surprising scuffle with Winnipeg Jets Kyle Connor, Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby did what everyone has been waiting for.  He officially joined the elite 600-goal club.

The record-setting goal happened during a power play at home against Utah on Saturday, November 23, 2024.  Erik Karlsson got the assist.

Penguins fans erupted in applause after the goal.  His teammates surrounded him and cheered for him.  Crosby raised his stick to acknowledge the fans.

Unfortunately, Crosby’s goal is the only one Pittsburgh has scored through two periods.  Utah leads the contest 3-1.

Crosby is probably relieved to get the elusive goal.  He wants this 7-11-4 Penguins team to get on a winning streak.  Since the beginning of November, the Penguins have played ten games and won just three.
