Tracy Wolfson sideline reporter

NFL broadcast teams add information and excitement to an NFL game.

There are excellent broadcast teams from CBS, FOX, NBC, Amazon Prime Video, and ESPN.

Nobody in the media has more information on teams than the NFL broadcasting teams, and they provide fans with valuable information.

The Sports Emmys nominees are out, and there are six sideline reporters nominated for the Outstanding Personality/Sideline Reporter award.

Sports Emmys Nominees For Outstanding Personality/Sideline Reporter

Tracy Wolfson is the lead sideline reporter on CBS for the NFL and men’s college basketball. Three Sideline Reporters Should Have Been Nominated Who Were Not

Not advocating for anyone nominated not to be, but three NFL sideline reporters do a great job each week and should have been nominated as well.

Those three are:

    • Erin Andrews, (FOX)
    • Melissa Stark, (NBC)
    • Aditi Kinkhabwala, (CBS)

Erin Andrews, (FOX)

Sports Emmys Nominees For Outstanding Personality/Sideline Reporter

FOX Sports veteran sideline reporter Erin Andrews contributes exclusive interviews and sideline reports from FOX NFL’s top game each week as part of the network’s lead crew. Since 2012, Andrews has been an integral part of some of FOX Sports’ biggest events. This includes four Super Bowls (Super Bowl XLVIII, Super Bowl LI, Super Bowl LIV, Super Bowl LVII), 10 NFC Championships, and the 2014 and 2015 World Series/MLB All-Star Games.

The fact that she was not nominated despite her excellent career is a bizarre decision.

Melissa Stark, (NBC)

Sports Emmys Nominees For Outstanding Personality/Sideline Reporter

Melissa Stark is the sideline reporter for Sunday Night Football. She is a veteran journalist with experience in investigative reporting, interviewing, and hosting. She joined the SNF crew in 2024. Stark has more than 25 years of national sports broadcasting experience, including working at ESPN and the NFL Network.

Stark has done a superb job as the lead sideline reporter for SNF. She should have been nominated.

Aditi Kinkhabwala, (CBS)

Sports Emmys Nominees For Outstanding Personality/Sideline Reporter

Aditi Kinkhabwala is a sideline reporter for CBS. She joined the NFL on CBS in 2022 after spending 10 years as a national correspondent at the NFL Network. In three short years as a sideline reporter for CBS, Kinkhabwala has quickly become one of the best in the business.

The Sports Emmys decision makers need to look at other sideline reporters besides those in the lead role. Kinkhabwala deserves consideration, as well as Melanie Collins and Pam Olver for the Outstanding Personality/Sideline Reporter award.

Who Will Win The Outstanding Personality/Sideline Reporter Award?

All six nominations are excellent at their jobs.

With the push of women’s sports in the media and ratings soaring, Holly Rowe is the best guess for winning the award this year.
