Steve Nash Will Join LeBron James As Podcast Host

LeBron James will continue the popular podcast that he started with JJ Redick, but this time with a different co-host. It was announced on Wednesday that “Mind the Game” would be making a return in the near future, and that two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash would be the one joining James in front of the microphones.
Steve Nash & LeBron James Set To Team Up On Podcast
The original iteration didn’t last long. It was just over a year ago when James and Redick teamed up to bring fans a new type of podcast. Mind the Game was created to give listeners an inside look at the NBA and basketball as a whole, more focused on the Xs and Os than the league drama that can be heard on other outlets.
But there were a total of just 9 episodes to ever hit the air waves. The final podcast featuring the two was released in June 2024, less than 20 days before Redick was named the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. The move effectively ended Redick’s podcasting career (for now), which had been a successful one with both Mind the Game and The Old Man and the Three as his entities.

It will be another big name that will be filling the seat opposite of LeBron James. NBA legend Steve Nash will be the new Mind the Game co-host, which will pair two MVPs from different eras in order to give listeners an inside look at basketball from two new perspectives. According to the announcement posts, the show will release episodes on Tuesdays, and will start to do so on April 1st. It will be available on both YouTube and via Prime Video on Amazon.
The 51-year-old Nash retired in 2014 after a successful NBA career. He won two MVPs and finished second in the voting another year, and still ranks 5th on the league’s all-time assists list. He enjoyed his best days as a member of the Phoenix Suns, while also playing for the Mavericks and Lakers in his time.
LeBron James and his team are currently in the middle of a run to the Western Conference playoffs, and there should be plenty of interesting content from both sides as the spring and summer wear on.
