Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (+100) is the clear favorite for Super Bowl MVP.

Since Mahomes became the starter, the Chiefs have won three Super Bowls. Mahomes has won Super Bowl MVP all three times.

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley (+275) has the best odds for any Eagle to win Super Bowl MVP. Barkley has been the biggest reason for the Eagles’ offensive surge this season.

Barkley’s playoff numbers this year are ridiculous. Barkley has rushing totals of 119, 205, and 118 yards in Philly’s three wins. Barkley has also rushed for five touchdowns, including three in the NFC Championship.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts (+360) would have won the MVP had the Eagles knocked off the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII.

Hurts completed 27 of 38 passes for 304 yards and one touchdown. Hurts killed the Chiefs in the running game with 70 yards and three touchdowns.

Despite the Herculean effort from Hurts, the Chiefs defeated the Eagles 38-35.

Super Bowl 2025 MVP Best Longshot Bets

The three players mentioned above are the likely candidates to win Super Bowl MVP. However, there are some interesting longshot options.

Kansas City’s Harrison Butker (+10000) is an intriguing longshot. Butker had a great chance of winning the MVP in last season’s Super Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Butker hit four field goals, including a record-breaking 57-yarder at the end of the first half and the game-tying 29-yarder to force overtime.

If Butker kicked the game-winning field goal last season, he probably wins the MVP.

A defensive player has not won Super Bowl MVP since Denver’s Von Miller in 2016. If betting on a defensive player, it’ll probably go to a player who can record multiple sacks or force a turnover.

Philadelphia’s All-Pro linebacker Zack Baun (+10000) is “Mr. Do Everything” for the Eagles defense. He’s a tackling machine who can force fumbles and record interceptions. If Baun can force a few turnovers and record double-digit tackles in an Eagles’ win, he could win MVP.

Super Bowl LIX will be played on Feb. 9.
