Super Bowl 2025 Odds: Chiefs Open As 1.5-Point Favorites Over Eagles

The matchup for Super Bowl 2025 is set. After one blowout in the NFC Championship and another instant classic in the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Philadelphia Eagles for the second time in three years. The game will feature one of the shortest betting lines in Super Bowl history, and it is Patrick Mahomes and company who have opened with the slight edge.
Chiefs Open As Slight Favorites For Super Bowl 2025
The Chiefs may not look like the same dominant force as in year’s past, but the results have been the same. They finished the season with a 15-2 record despite not scoring more than 30 points in any game, and remained atop the Super Bowl odds list for essentially the entire year. They rolled through the Texans on their way to the AFC Championship game, and ended the Buffalo Bills’ season for the fourth time in the last five years on Sunday.
Kansas City will open as 1.5-point favorites in the Super Bowl. It is a short line, given their regular season dominance, but they’ll be going up against a formidable opponent in the Eagles.

Philadelphia went 14-3 in the regular season. They’ve lost just one game since September 29th, and have a weapon that has proven to be unstoppable this year. Running back Saquon Barkley finished with the 8th-highest rushing yard total in NFL history, just 100 yards off the all-time record, and scored 15 touchdowns on a team that heavily leans on the “Brotherly Shove” in short yardage situations.
That force combined with the second-ranked scoring defense in the league has them in the Super Bowl and listed as short underdogs against a current dynasty.
The last time these two teams met in the big game, it was the Eagles who were listed as the 1-point favorites. That spread is tied for the lowest in Super Bowl history.
All five appearances for the Chiefs in recent years have featured spreads of 3 points or fewer.
