Sterling Shepard

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Sterling Shepard put a unique and super cute touch on his Sunday Night Football introduction.  The videos normally picture the player who says his name and the college he attended.  Fans tend to tune them out because they are trite.

Shepard’s was not tuned out.  He had his two daughters pictured with him, and in unison, the girls said “Oklahoma” when it was time to state where their dad went to college.

What an original and cute idea to include the kids.

This was the high point of Shepard’s night.  The low point came when he dropped a fourth-down pass probably because he was astounded to be so wide open.

Some Twitter users joked that his daughters are probably embarrassed by the drop.

Shepard certainly wants a do-over on that pass, but he does not need one on his video introduction.

After eight years with the New York Giants, Sterling Shepard, an Oklahoma native and the 16th overall pick by the Giants in the 2016 NFL Draft, came to Tampa Bay and reunited with his Oklahoma teammate Baker Mayfield.  Shepard caught one touchdown pass in 12 games.

Shepard signed a one-year contract valued at $1.2 million and will be a free agent at the end of the 2024 NFL season.
