Taylor Swift Booed During Super Bowl As Kansas City Chiefs Trail Philadelphia Eagles In New Orleans

Pop icon Taylor Swift has been booed by fans at Super Bowl LIX as she appeared on the big screen in the stadium.
Swift was in the crowd cheering for boyfriend and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
But the singer got an unexpected reaction when she was shown on the screen at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
Her face appearing on the jumbotron was met with a loud chorus of boos and jeers from Philadelphia Eagles fans inside the arena.
Celebrities Defend Taylor Swift As Singer Booed At Super Bowl
Plenty of Taylor‘s high-profile friends have taken to social media to defend her.
Tennis superstar Serena Williams posted on X, saying: “I love you @taylorswift13 don’t listen to those booo!!”
Another user added: “grown ass men booing taylor swift seriously get a grip”
Swift seemed surprised by the boos, which happened in the opening quarter. She shared a nervous look with a friend who sat next to her, and looked to say: “What’s going on?”
There has been some criticism from NFL fans towards the league and broadcasters over Taylor Swift.
Fans believe her relationship with Travis Kelce has been given too much airtime, detracting from coverage of the games themselves.
Such has been the discontent that NFL commissioner Roger Goodall came out to address the topic.
He was asked last year if Swift and Kelce’s relationship was part of some scripted conspiracy to gain wider attention for the NFL.
He said in response: “I don’t think I’m that good of a scripter or anybody on our staff. There’s no way that I could have scripted that one.
“She’s a remarkable performer. She knows great entertainment. I had the opportunity to go to two of her concerts with our girls and my wife – she’s the best of the best.
“So, having her at NFL games, (to) have her (be a) part of that is nothing but a positive light.”
