There will be no sweep in the Western Conference finals as the Minnesota Timberwolves captured a 105-100 victory against the Dallas Mavericks in Game 4.

Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards was spectacular, finishing with 29 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists.
Edwards’s teammate, Karl-Anthony Towns, has struggled all series, including tonight’s first half when he scored five points. However, Towns scored 20 points in the second half to finish with 25, including four 3-pointers.
All five of Minnesota’s starters finished with 10 or more points.
With the win, Minnesota is now 3-0 in elimination games this postseason.
For Dallas, Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving struggled to shoot all night. Doncic finished with 28 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists on 7-21 shooting, while Irving ended up with 16 points on 6-18 from the field.
The duo went 5-17 from behind the arc.
Edwards hit a jump shot with 39 seconds left to put Minnesota up five. On the next possession, Doncic made a 3-pointer after being fouled by Edwards. However, Doncic missed the free throw, and Naz Reid hit a layup at the other end to seal the five-point victory for Minnesota.
Game 5 will be in Minnesota on Thursday, May 30.

The winner of the Timberwolves and Mavericks will advance to face the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals. The Boston Celtics completed the 4-0 sweep against the Pacers after a 105-102 victory in Game 4.
Boston’s Jaylen Brown won the Larry Bird Trophy as Eastern Conference finals MVP. Brown averaged 29.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 steals on 51.7% shooting in four games.
Boston became the eighth team in NBA history to start the playoffs 12-2 or better.
Game 1 of the NBA Finals will be played in Boston on June 6.
