The New York Giants are adding a talented young safety to their improving secondary.

Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Holland and the Giants have agreed to a three-year, $45.3 million contract, including $30.3 million guaranteed. The former Dolphins’ safety can get up to $46.8 million with incentives, making him one of the highest-paid players at his position.

The Miami Dolphins selected Holland in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Holland is coming off a disappointing 2024 campaign with a career-low 62 tackles and zero interceptions. Holland suffered a knee sprain in 2023, which affected his play last season.

The Giants hope the 25-year-old returns to the versatile playmaker he proved he could be from 2021 to 2023.

New York has spent most of free agency rebuilding their defense, adding Holland, cornerback Paulson Adebo, linebacker Chris Board, defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris, and edge rusher Chauncey Golston.
