Travis Hunter And Wife Leanna Lenee Reveal Baby Boy Just Months After Wedding

Heisman trophy winner and No. 2 NFL Draft pick Travis Hunter surprised NFL fans with a major announcement on Wednesday. Hunter and his wife Leanna Lenee De La Fuente revealed that they have a new addition to their family in Jacksonville with a heartfelt video on YouTube entitled ‘Dear Son’.

Hunter Reveals Heartfelt Message To Newborn Son

Hunter is officially the dad of a new baby boy. While the couple did not reveal the name of their son in the video, the new Jaguars wide receiver and cornerback had one message for his son, “You got to be better than me.”

It’s been an eventful year for Hunter, who won the Heisman Trophy with the Colorado Buffaloes in 2025, was picked No. 2 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft in April, and got married to his wife in May.

The couple met in 2022, during Hunter’s senior year in high school after he slid into her DMs on Instagram. They’ve been together for the last three years and are now beginning to take the next step in their journey together.

The video begins with a positive pregnancy test and takes NFL fans through the NFL Draft, all the way up until the birth of their son. The description is a short, heartfelt message to their son: “Dear Son, We love you. Love, Mom and Dad,”

During the draft process, Hunter also predicted that his son will be a future Jacksonville Jaguars too. “And then you gonna come up and you gonna be like me and get drafted to Jacksonville,” Hunter says with a smile.

Hunter Expected To Play 80% of Offensive Snaps In 2025

Hunter’s ability to play both offense and defense has made major headlines during the NFL offseason, but it appears that he will also be taking on a new role in his rookie season.

The new dad missed time during training camp and preseason due to injury but is expected to be on the field for the season opener against the Carolina Panthers.

New Jaguars head coach Liam Coen believes that Hunter will play about 80% of the team’s offense snaps while still playing as much as he can on the defensive side of the ball.
