NFL fans have taken to Twitter with their reactions to a stunning first-half of the Super Bowl as the Philadelphia Eagles took a 24-0 lead against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs went into the biggest game of the sporting calendar knowing that they could write their names in the history book.

A victory over the Eagles would mean they would be the first NFL team to win a Super Bowl three-peat.

However, it was a half in which they struggled – in particular their star quarterback Patrick Mahomes who was sacked three times during the first-half.

Mahomes has famously struggled in the first-half of previous Super Bowls which the Chiefs have come back to mount a victory. However, fans were left stunned by his struggles this time around.
