President Trump wants to bring the UFC to the White House.

Last week, Trump told a crowd in Des Moines, Iowa, that he plans to work with UFC President Dana White to run an event at the White House.

“We’re going to have a UFC fight on the grounds of the White House,” Trump said via NBC News. “We have a lot of land there.”

The fight would likely revolve around the 250th birthday of the United States on July 4, 2026.

Front Office Sports confirmed that discussions between the UFC and the White House have begun.

Trump teased that he wants to build a venue that could host 20,000 to 25,000 people.

White and Trump have a longstanding relationship, so the odds of an event like this happening are strong. Trump has attended multiple UFC events, including UFC 316.

If the UFC successfully plans an event at the White House, who would fight in the main event?

Dustin Poirier (+250) and Max Holloway (+300) are the favorites to fight in the main event. Poirier is interesting because he plans to retire after fighting Holloway at UFC 318 in Louisiana. That matchup is a trilogy fight.

Sean O’Malley (+400) posed for a photo with Trump at UFC 316 and changed his walkout song to God Bless the USA.

Jon Jones (+800) and Conor McGregor (+800) are two of the sport’s biggest stars. McGregor wrote on X that it would be an “honor” to fight at the White House.

From a business perspective, allowing Jones and McGregor to fight at the White House may not be a smart financial decision. Jones and McGregor have generated historic revenue from their fight gates.

For female fighters, Kayla Harrison (+3300) is the name to keep an eye on. The former Olympic gold medalist and current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion posed for a photo with Trump at 316.

Then, there’s Colby Covington (+3300), who has been publicly endorsing Trump throughout his entire presidency.
