Despite being a relatively open book with her emotions on the tennis court, American tennis legend Venus Williams has kept quiet about her personal life.
Fans knew that she was engaged to Italian actor Andrea Preti. He was introduced as her fiance during her summer resurgence on the US hardcourts.
There was an intimate ceremony in September, but the couple made a big splash with a five-day celebration in Palm Beach, Florida, and a Vogue spread complete with details of how they met, details on the first ceremony, and the jam-packed Florida wedding itinerary which included glamour, recreation, and culminated with the ceremony.

Of course, Venus’s sister, Serena Williams, was at the ceremony. She is photographed also looking glamorous and appearing to read from her phone, perhaps for a toast.

It was a family affair, but it is not clear if Richard Williams, their father and early architect of their success who the 2021 King Richard movie starring Will Smith was based on, was there.
Venus, 45, will have a short honeymoon. She is planning to play at Auckland at the ASB Classic beginning January 5. Her last appearance was at an exhibition match in Charlotte against Madison Keys earlier this month. She is also slated to co-chair the 2026 MET Gala in May.
Serena made her own tennis news earlier this month when she denied a 2026 comeback was on the horizon after appearing on the players’ list for anti-doping testing.
