At the 2023-24 deadline, the Knicks traded Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett to the Raptors. In return, New York received one-time NBA champion O.G. Anunoby. Immanuel Quickley was formerly the 25th pick in the 2020 NBA draft by the Knicks out of Kentucky. In New York, Quickley primarily served as a backup. He made 27 starts in 253 games with the Knicks. As a member of the Raptors, Immanuel Quickley is being used as the starting PG.
The 26-year-old has started all 113 games he’s appeared in for the Raptors over the last two and a half seasons. In 2025-26, Immanuel Quickley has made a career-high 42 starts and counting. This season, Quickley is averaging 16.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. Against the Warriors on Tuesday, Toronto’s starting PG put on a show. He is the first player in NBA history with 40+ points, 10+ assists, and five made threes, while shooting over 80% for the game. Quickley was 7-8 from beyond the arc vs. Golden State and was an impressive 11-13 from the field. On top of that, he was a perfect 11-11 from the free-throw line for 40 points on the night. It was an all-around dominant performance from the Raptors’ PG.
With the win vs. Golden State on Tuesday, the Raptors are 26-19 in 2025-26. That is currently fourth in the Eastern Conference. Ahead of the 2024-25 season, Toronto signed Immanuel Quickley to a five-year, $175 million deal. He is set to make $32.5 million over the next four years, including 2025-26. The Raptors have been a surprise team this year. Nobody expected the team to be top four in the East at the halfway point in the season.
