Miami Heat star guard Tyler Herro had an awkward moment with referee Jenna Reneau during the second quarter of Wednesday night’s loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
Referee Passed Tyler Herro The Ball Before He Was Ready
Herro, 25, was accidently hit in the groin with the ball by Reneau before attempting a technical free throw. After the Heat guard stepped up to the foul line, Reneau passed the ball while Herro wasn’t paying attention.
That’s when Herro took a direct hit to the family jewels.
Reneau immediately walked over to Herro to make sure he was OK after she saw the former NBA Sixth Man of the Year bent over in pain.

It appeared Herro was fine after a couple of minutes, and he was able to laugh it off after the game.
However, Herro was unable to lead the Heat to victory.
The former first-rounder finished with 20 points, four rebounds, and two steals in 33 minutes of action. He also shot 8-of-17 (47.1%) from the field and just 2-of-7 (28.6%) from beyond the arc.
Herro Made Fifth Appearance Of The Season
Herro was shut out after halftime, but Kel’el Ware stepped up with 22 points and 10 rebounds. It was Herro’s fifth game of the campaign coming off offseason ankle surgery.
Miami also played without leading scorer Norman Powell, who has a left ankle sprain.
Meanwhile, Cooper Flagg scored 22 points and Anthony Davis had 17 points and 17 rebounds for the Mavericks, who extended their first winning streak of the season to three games with a 118-108 victory over the Heat.
Davis was playing consecutive games for the first time since missing a month with a left calf strain.
Undrafted rookie Ryan Nembhard had 15 points and a season-high 13 assists after scoring a career-high 28 points in Monday night’s 131-121 victory over the Denver Nuggets.
Through five appearances this season, Herro is averaging 23.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, a career-high 1.2 steals, and 31.4 minutes per contest with a shooting line of 52.4/48.4/94.7.
All three shooting percentages are career bests.
The Heat (14-8) visit the Orlando Magic (13-9) on Friday.
