WATCH Warriors Jimmy Butler Yells 'White Boy' At Nets Rookie Danny Wolf

Golden State Warriors star forward Jimmy Butler went a bit too far with his trash talk during the third quarter of Monday night’s 120-107 win over the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center.

Jimmy Butler Rips Danny Wolf After And-1

With 34 seconds remaining in the third period, Butler was heard yelling and exchanging words with Nets rookie forward Danny Wolf after getting an and-1 against him.

“White boy!” Butler said. “White Boy! White Boy! Every time… Shut up! Shut the f—k up!”

It’s unclear whether Wolf had said anything derogatory to Butler leading up to this play.

Wolf, who the Nets selected with the 27th pick in the 2025 NBA draft, was held scoreless in 19 minutes off the bench after posting 11 points in Saturday’s win at Minnesota.

Meanwhile, Butler had 13 points at the end of the third quarter and went on to record 21 points, five rebounds, four assists, and one steal in 31 minutes of action.

He finished 5-of-9 (55.6%) shooting from the field and 11-for-12 (91.7%) from the foul line.

Draymond Green Disses Mr. Whammy

Of course, Butler wasn’t alone in talking smack in Monday’s contest.

Draymond Green went viral for going after Nets super-fan Mr. Whammy while he was at the free throw line.

“Sit ya old ass down,” Green said.

Green was asked about the interaction during his postgame interview, and he called it “fun.”

“I told him to sit his old ass down somewhere, man,” Green said. “Can’t be distracting me on my free throws.”

Stephen Curry Led Warriors In Scoring

Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 27 points, while Trayce Jackson-Davis added 11 points and Gary Payton II, De’Anthony Melton, and Will Richard each had 10.

The Warriors bounced back from an overtime loss in Toronto in Sunday to win for the fourth time in five games. Golden State also improved to 7-12 on the road.

Brooklyn’s Michael Porter Jr. had 27 points and rookie Egor Demin finished with 23. However, the Nets’ three-game winning streak was snapped.

Golden State continues its three-game road trip at Charlotte on Wednesday.
