The biggest winner of the night when it came to the social media realm was Tristan Da Silva. The small forward out of Colorado had just 9,700 followers on Instagram before the draft process, but that number has increased to just shy of 36,000 after being selected by the Orlando Magic. That is a change of +267%, the highest of any first round draft pick.
The Atlanta Hawks used the first overall selection on Zaccharie Risacher out of France, who had a pre-draft following of 27,700. That number increased by more than 190%, the third-largest leap of any player in the first round, and he now has over 81,000 Instagram followers.
