Ons Jabeur is the latest WTA player to announce her pregnancy. Jabeur, 31, a two-time Wimbledon finalist, has always admitted that she wanted to start a family with husband and fitness coach Karim Kamoun. In fact, she said that had she won won of those Wimbledons (2022 against Elena Rybakina and 2023 against Marketa Vondrousova), motherhood may have already happened for her.

“Took a little break to reset and recharge…
Turns out, we’ve been planning the cutest comeback ever 👶🎾
The court will have to wait a little longer, because soon… we’ll be welcoming our tiniest teammate 👶💙… pic.twitter.com/BUHekMDjMD— The Tennis Letter (@TheTennisLetter) November 10, 2025
Known as the “Minister of Happiness” for her infectious smile and easy going demeanor that make her a fan and peer favorite, Jabeur surprised many by stepping away from the sport in July because she was not feeling happy on the court.
Ons Jabeur Will Join Many Who Are Admirably Juggling Tennis And Motherhood
Jabeur will become one of the growing legion of WTA tennis moms. She said her tennis return is delayed, but that language indicates that she plans to return.
Jabeur will join Victoria Azarenka, Taylor Townsend, Elina Svitolina, and Naomi Osaka who have balanced motherhood and tennis. Angie Kerber and Petra Kvitova each returned after maternity leave but have since retired. Caroline Wozniacki made a successful return after retiring to start a family but is expecting another child and has admitted that her return is unlikely. Ash Barty was one player who completely left the game behind to have children and never planned or attempted a return.
Both jobs, motherhood and being a professional athlete, are extremely difficult so these women are to be commended for juggling both roles.
Jabeur Waited Until WTA Finals Were Over To Make Announcement

That is indicative of the type of person she is.
Her game will be missed in the short-term. It is unique, with so much offspeed shotmaking, but everyone is happy for her.
Blessing your timeline with some very exciting news ✨
