Fortune Pai Gow Poker is similar to the regular Pai Gow Poker. The only difference is that the player can place a fortune bonus bet and an envy bonus bet in addition to the base wager.

This game is played on a table with a maximum of seven players, including the dealer. A 53-card deck is used, which includes one joker and 52 regular cards.

In Fortune Pai Gow Poker, the joker serves as a wild card for players. It can be used as an ace or to help complete a flush, a straight, or a straight flush. The player with the best poker hand is declared the winner.

Players can place $1–$100 on the fortune bonus. Each player that places a fortune bonus wager of $5 or more qualifies for an Envy Bonus. The envy bonus is paid when another player at the table receives a four of a kind or higher.
