NASCAR Cup Series Fans React To Tyler Reddick Claiming Straight Talk Wireless 400 At Homestead-Miami Speedway

Driver Tyler Reddick took the high line and climbed to the top of the NASCAR Cup Series’ playoff standings.

Reddick capped a frenzied finish, passing reigning circuit champion Ryan Blaney on the last lap, capturing Sunday’s Straight Talk Wireless 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Reddick finished as the third leader over the final three laps, passing Denny Hamlin, his machine’s co-owner, along Turn 1 of the final rotation and then moved up to overcome Blaney along the final corner.

“I don’t know, we were backed in a corner and had no other choice,” Reddick said, as reported by NASCAR.com. “I knew we were on a tire deficit, and here at Homestead, that’s a death sentence, but I didn’t care.”

Reddick, who led a race-high 97 laps, registered his third win of the season and eighth of his career. More significantly. Reddick joined Joey Logano as the two drivers who have qualified for the Championship 4 race at Phoenix Raceway on Nov. 10.
