Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson was one of the most productive running backs in the nation over the last four years. Will it equate to being a top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft?
TreVeyon Henderson NFL Player Profile
Henderson was one of the most productive backs in the nation during his four-year stint at Ohio State. His freshman year saw him amass 1,560 total yards and 19 touchdowns, and he capped off his collegiate years with a 1,300 yard, 11 touchdown performance to go along with a National Championship.
Coming into the NFL Combine, he was roughly ranked as the third best running back that the Class of 2025 had to offer. That gave him a projection to be a second round selection, though he was hoping that his showing at the Combine would be enough to boost his draft status.
Henderson has good acceleration but not blazing speed, and didn’t fumble in any of his final three seasons in college. He excels in the passing game, both in the blocking and receiving aspects, but is slightly undersized and doesn’t have the shiftiness that a team would hope for from a no.1 running back.
Did his results at the Combine help his draft stock at all?
2025 NFL Combine Results
40-Yard Dash
There were 24 running backs that participated in the 40-yard dash in this year’s NFL Combine. Of those 24, Henderson finished tied for the 7th-fastest clocked time, which came in at 4.43 seconds. The fastest running back, Bhayshul Tuten from Virginia Tech, set the bar at 4.32.
10-Yard Split
It was thought that Henderson would excel in the 10-yard split exercise, which measures a player’s initial acceleration. But he placed in roughly the same range that he did in the 40, posting the 6th best time of all participating running backs after being clocked at 1.52 seconds.
Broad/Vertical Jump
His jumping abilities are about average for a prospect of his size and skill set. In the vertical jump, Henderson tied for the 4th-best mark among running backs, reaching 38.50 inches. He finished in a similar spot in the broad jump, as he recorded a mark of 10’8”.

TreVeyon Henderson NFL Draft Prediction
Henderson was projected to be a second-round pick before the NFL Combine, and it doesn’t appear that much has changed given his middle-of-the-pack performance in the measurements events. But we could see a team take an early chance on the Ohio State product, given the outstanding statistics that he was able to post while playing at the collegiate level.
Prediction: 2nd round, 51st overall pick – Denver Broncos
