Wimbledon qualifying week is a stressful time for players trying to earn their spot in the main draw for the world’s most prestigious grass court tennis tournament. Two names that tennis fans now know well, French Open semifinalist Lois Boisson and Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko, are in action on Tuesday.

2019 US Open champion Bianca Andreescu, who has battled injuries and most recently an emergency appendectomy, is playing a qualifying match on Tuesday. Wimbledon doubles champion Taylor Towsend, who missed tournaments this spring after suffering a concussion at the Miami Open, is trying to qualify in singles, in addition to defending her title with partner Katerina Siniakova.
These players have to win three consecutive qualifying matches to earn one of the 16 qualifying spots in the main draw.
World No. 1 players practice together at Wimbledon
In addition to the qualifying matches, Wimbledon practice courts are also bustling with activity for the players who have arrived early. Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka were spotted practicing together.

Also on the grounds are seven-time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic, 2025 French Open champion Coco Gauff, 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina, Grigor Dimitrov, and more.
Wimbledon Draw Coming Up Friday
The Wimbledon draw will be revealed on Friday, June 27 with first round matches scheduled to begin on June 30. Play will continue every day, weather permitting, through finals weekend when the women’s final is contested on July 12, and the men’s final is played on July 13. ESPN will carry live action from the All England Club.
Barbora Krejickova and Carlos Alcaraz are the defending women’s and men’s singles champions. Alcaraz won Wimbledon in 2023 and 2024 and also won last week’s HSBC (Queen’s Club) Championships while Krejcikova continues to gain footing after being out for the majority of the 2025 season with injury.
There has not been a repeat ladies champion since Serena Williams won her seventh title in 2016.
