Nine days before the start of Wimbledon 2025, and tennis fans are already disappointed that two noteworthy ATP rising stars have been forced to withdraw due to injuries.
Arthur Fils Is Out Of Wimbledon
World No. 15 Arthur Fils, 21, of France played a high level of tennis in front of the home crowd at the 2025 French Open, but he has not played competitive tennis since. Fils is dealing with a back injury that he visibly struggled with in his second round Roland Garros match against Jaume Minar. It forced him to retire before his third round match against Andrey Rublev.

Fans were eager to see if Fils could better his 2024 fourth round Wimbledon finish. Hopefully, he is healthy soon because the Indian Wells and Miami Open quarterfinalist played great hardcourt tennis this spring and could light up the courts again during the US Open series of summer tournaments if he is able to play.
Sebastian Korda Has Withdrawn From Wimbledon
World No. 26 Sebastian Korda, 24, also has not played since his third round loss to American compatriot Frances Tiafoe at Roland Garros. He is recovering from a shin fracture, and it is unclear when he will be back on court.
A stress fracture in his right shin is the reason for Sebastian Korda’s withdrawal from Wimbledon yesterday.

The 2021 Wimbledon fourth round finisher is also the defending Mubadala Citi Open champion.
Korda has struggled to stay healthy for long periods of time. He cut short his 2024 season after the US Open to have elbow surgery. Korda got a late start in 2025, skipping Brisbane International, due to the lengthy recovery associated with the elbow injury.
