John Deere Classic 2025 Predictions
Here are our John Deere Classic 2025 predictions and the best bets to win the tournament.
- Michael Thorbjornsen (+2800)
- Alex Smalley (+4500)
- Cameron Champ (+7000)
Michael Thorbjornsen (+2800)
Looking for his maiden PGA Tour win, Michael Thorbjornsen appears primed for a breakthrough this weekend at the John Deere Classic. He’s already notched a runner-up finish at the Corales Puntacana Championship and placed 4th at the Zurich Classic alongside Karl Vilips.
Aside from a brief dip in form, Thorbjornsen bounced back impressively at last week’s Rocket Mortgage Classic with a 4th-place finish. He finished 17th at the John Deere in 2023 and was the runner-up last year. He performs well in this course and stands out as a solid pick for the weekend.
Alex Smalley (+4500)
Despite missing the cut last week, Alex Smalley pairs well with TPC Deere Run. He ranks T-2 on Tour in Par 4 scoring average and 16th in birdies or better on Par 4s. Additionally, Smalley has performed well on comparable courses, ranking 7th in Strokes Gained: Total.
He also has solid course history at TPC Deere Run, with a runner-up finish in 2023 and a top-20 in 2022. At +4500 odds, Smalley is worth a shot.
Cameron Champ (+7000)
Cameron Champ has been flying under the radar since returning from injury. Over his last two events, he’s gained +12.1 strokes from tee to green. In his last eight rounds, Champ ranks sixth in birdies or better gained, fifth in Par 4 efficiency, and first in Par 5 efficiency from 550–600 yards.
Statistically, he stacks up well against the field, yet he’s being offered at +7000 odds. He recorded a T-11 finish here in 2021 and is a longshot worth considering this weekend.
