Emma Raducanu is the talk of Wimbledon. Between her big win over 2023 Wimbledon Champion Marketa Vondrousova and her tough battle against World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, the British media cannot get enough of the 2021 US Open Champion.
That became even more apparent as Cam Norrie was asked a Raducanu question in his post match press conference.
What Cam Norrie Was Asked
On Saturday, Norrie, the 2022 Wimbledon semifinalist, advanced to the Round of 16 with a straight set win over Italian Mattia Bellucci. In his postmatch press conference, Norrie was asked if he is dating Emma Raducanu.
Norrie was understandably confused by the question. When the reporter tried to clarify it asking if Norrie knew who Raducanu was dating. He said no and encouraged the reporter to ask Raducanu directly.
Cam Norrie being asked about Emma Raducanu’s dating life in his Wimbledon press conference is a new all time low:
“Apart from everyone here loving tennis, some of the gossip has been about who Emma Raducanu is dating. Can I ask if you’re dating her? Can we get to the bottom of… pic.twitter.com/JBhBshW7wf

The Emma Raducanu And Carlos Alcaraz Rumors Continue
Ever since Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz announced they were playing US Open Mixed Doubles, there has been extra buzz around the pair. Raducanu went to Alcaraz’s Queen’s Club Championships semifinal match.
People are really trying to crown them the next tennis couple, but there is no indication that the two are anything more than friends. If they are more than friends and are keeping it to themselves, that’s their business, and tennis fans will find out when and if they are supposed to.
Raducanu did not help the cause by playfully answering questions from the BBC about singer Olivia Rodrigo being a spectator at her match against Vondrousova. She said something about Rodrigo’s hearbreak songs but then mentioned she did not need those right now.
She’s got so great at heartbreak songs
If you’re ever going through it, she’s the one!

There are two tennis couples for fans to cheer for: the engaged pair of Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur and the married duo of Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils. Otherwise, fans and the media should let everyone else alone especially during the Wimbledon fortnight when there are many other pressing tennis matters to discuss in press conferences.
