Leading the field is world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler at +600 odds. Right behind him are Rory McIlroy (+700), Jon Rahm (+1200), Bryson DeChambeau (+2500), and Tommy Fleetwood (+2500) to round out the top five.

Read on for the latest 2025 Open Championship odds, along with expert predictions and best bets for all the action this weekend in Northern Ireland.

Open Championship 2025 Odds

An American has won the British Open in each of the last three years. It’s been more than a decade since a British player lifted the Claret Jug, with Rory McIlroy being the last to do it in 2014. But 2025 could mark a strong showing for England, with contenders like Matt Fitzpatrick (+4000), Justin Rose (+6000), and Tommy Fleetwood (+2800) in the field.

Still, the heavy favorite remains Scottie Scheffler at +600. Other top American names include Bryson DeChambeau (+2500) and defending champion Xander Schauffele (+2800).

Also among the top five is Jon Rahm (+1200), who is chasing the third leg of his career Grand Slam.

Open Championship 2025 Predictions

Here are our Open Championship 2025 predictions and the best bets to win the tournament.

  • Jon Rahm (+1200)
  • Viktor Hovland (+3000)
  • Russell Henley (+6500)

Jon Rahm (+1200)

While Jon Rahm has had a strong season in LIV Golf, he’s remained relatively under the radar due to the lack of wins on both the LIV and major circuits. Still, his form is undeniably impressive, he’s finished top-10 in 9 of his 10 starts this year, with his worst result being a T11.

He also has three top-15 finishes in majors this season, with his lowest being a T14 at the Masters. Rahm has a strong Open Championship track record, finishing runner-up in 2023 and third in 2021. He’s in prime form to complete the third leg of his career Grand Slam.

Viktor Hovland (+3000)

Although Viktor Hovland has struggled with consistency this year, he’s remained a solid performer in majors. He hasn’t placed worse than T-13 at the Open over the past three years and finished T-4 in 2022. He also recently placed 3rd at the 2025 U.S. Open.

Hovland secured a win at the Valspar Championship earlier this season and continues to build on his 2023 FedEx Cup victory. His trajectory suggests he’s due for a major breakthrough.

Russell Henley (+6500)

Russell Henley is quietly putting together one of the best seasons of his career. He claimed victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and followed it with a hot streak, a T5 at the Memorial, T10 at the U.S. Open, and 2nd at the Travelers Championship.

Henley ranks second in strokes gained over the last 12 rounds and has posted top-10 finishes in three of his last five majors. He also has a strong history at this course, finishing 5th at last year’s Open. At +6500, he offers excellent value.
