Once upon a time, tennis players did not make coaching changes during the season. That is no longer the case for Jasmine Paolini and may not be true for Alexander Zverev either.

Jasmine Paolini Parts Ways With Marc Lopez
2024 was a monstrous season for Jasmine Paolini, the French Open and Wimbledon finalist. Paolini has not been able to find that same magic in 2025 and is now parting ways with Marc Lopez, after three months together. It is unclear who she will add (or when) to be her third coach in 2025.

Her biggest win of the year was a special one at home at the Italian Open in the final over Coco Gauff; however, Paolini’s 4th round exit at the French Open and second round exit at Wimbledon, has caused her to fall down the WTA rankings. Since last week, she has dropped four spots to World No. 9.
Alexander Zverev Practices At Rafael Nadal Academy
Alexander Zverev‘s coaching team has always been a family affair with his dad the central person. That’s why it is particularly intriguing to see Zverev without his dad practicing under the watchful eye of Toni Nadal at the Rafael Nadal Academy this week.

Could a trial partnership be in the works? In addition to Rafa, Toni has produced good results with Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime from 2021-2024.
Jannik Sinner’s Coach Darren Cahill Wins Coaching Grand Slam
World No. 1 Jannik Sinner‘s coach Darren Cahill was already a legend, but he increased his legendary status by completing the coaching Grand Slam with Sinner’s Wimbledon win.
Cahill coached two players to three Australian Open wins: Andre Agassi in 2003 and Jannik Sinner in 2024 and 2025. Simona Halep won the 2018 French Open under his tutelage. Sinner won 2025 Wimbledon, and he coached two players to US Open wins: Lleyton Hewitt in 2001 and Sinner in 2024.
Darren Cahill announced he will retire from coaching at the end of the 2025 season. Sinner indicated after Wimbledon that he made a bet with Cahill about staying on past the end of the year if he won Wimbledon so we will see what transpires from that.
