Jake Finch is getting his chance with Hendrick Motorsports.
The 20-year-old son of NASCAR team owner James Finch, the younger Finch remains poised to make his Xfinity Series debut Saturday at Dover Motor Speedway.
Finch was slated to pilot the No. 17 Chevrolet during the BetRivers 200. A native of Lynn Haven, Florida, Finch gained early experience on the Late Model and Super Late Model circuits. He also serves as a part-time ARCA Menards Series driver. In 37 combined starts with the ARCA National, East and West series, Finch posted two wins, 11 top-five finishes and 28 top 10s.
Finch’s ARCA East win in 2023 developed at Dover’s one-mile oval. The Xfinity rookie earned +8500 sports-betting odds to win his circuit debut, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
Points leader Justin Allgaier (+270) became the favorite, followed by Cup Series regular Ross Chastain (+360).
