The PGA Tour heads to Blaine, Minnesota, this week for the 2025 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities. As the second-last event before the FedExCup Playoffs, the tournament often serves as one of the final opportunities for players hovering around the top 70 to make a push for in the standings, making for some high-stakes drama.
Several of the top players in the world are taking the week off after a long trip back from Northern Ireland for The Open, where Scottie Scheffler dominated to earn his fourth career major victory. Only 11 of the top 50 players in the world will be in action this week, led by Maverick McNealy (No. 18) and Sam Burns (No. 22).
Read on for the latest 2025 3M Open odds, along with expert predictions and best bets for all the action this weekend in Minnesota.
3M Open 2025 Odds
The odds board for the 2025 3M Open is wide open, reflecting both the depth of the field and the birdie-heavy nature of TPC Twin Cities.
Sam Burns sits atop the odds board heading into TPC Twin Cities this week with +1700 odds to win the 3M Open. Maverick McNealy, the top-ranked player in the field this week, is not far behind at +1800. Both players are elite scorers and strong fits for a course where low numbers are a must.
On the other hand, rising stars Akshay Bhatia (+2300) and Chris Gotterup (+2400) are also drawing plenty of betting interest while past champion Tony Finau is further down the board at +2800.
There are also plenty of intriguing longshots in this event, including Kurt Kitayama (+3500), who comes in fresh off of back-to-back top-15 finishes in the John Deere Classic and Barracuda Championship.
Meanwhile, Sahith Theegala sits at a tempting +11000, a big number for a player with the firepower to contend if he finds form. Theegala’s best finish this season came at the Genesis Invitational, where he finished T17 and he’s missed the cut or withdrawn in each of his last three events.

3M Open 2025 Predictions
Here are our 3M Open 2025 predictions and the best bets to win the tournament.
- Michel Thorbjornsen (+1200)
- Akshay Bhatia (+2300)
- Kurt Kitayama (+3500)
Michael Thorbjornsen (+1200)
On the verge of his first PGA Tour victory, Michael Thorbjornsen is quickly establishing himself as a rising talent in professional golf. The 23-year-old has a prime opportunity to make his breakthrough this weekend at the 3M Open. Earlier this season, he finished runner-up at the Corales Puntacana Championship and claimed a fourth-place finish at the Zurich Classic alongside teammate Karl Vilips.
Despite battling injuries throughout the year, Thorbjornsen’s recent performances suggest he’s gaining momentum. Over his last three starts, he’s posted a fourth-place finish at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, placed 21st at the John Deere Classic, and secured 14th at the ISCO Championship, an encouraging upward trend.
Statistically, he’s been impressive as well, currently ranking second in Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee and inside the top 40 in Strokes Gained: Approach over his last 24 rounds. With his strong driving and solid iron play, TPC Twin Cities sets up as an ideal venue for Thorbjornsen to finally break through and capture his first PGA Tour win..
Akshay Bhatia (+2300)
Although Akshay Bhatia hasn’t cracked the top 10 since March, his game is showing promising signs, particularly from tee to green. In four of his last six starts, Bhatia has gained strokes off the tee, flashing glimpses of the form that earned him a win and four additional top-five finishes last season. He’s playing with renewed confidence, combining power and precision off the tee reminiscent of his breakout year. If he can keep his driver under control this weekend, he’ll have plenty of opportunities to generate birdie looks and contend at the 3M Open.
Kurt Kitayama (+3500)
Kurt Kitayama has had an up-and-down season but he’s been dangerous when he’s been on top of his game and he comes in fresh off of back-to-back top-15 finishes. Kitayama (+3500) is a compelling mid-tier play at the 2025 3M Open, especially on a course like TPC Twin Cities where aggressive tee-to-green play can outweigh shaky putting. Kitayama ranks 12th in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee and 7th in Driving Distance, giving him a massive edge on a layout with wide fairways and reachable par-5s.
