One … two … three …
NASCAR Xfinity Series’ Connor Zilisch continues to stake a claim to not only rookie-of-the-year but as a true contender to points leader Justin Allgaier for the circuit championship.
Zilisch captured the Pennzoil 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday, his third consecutive trip to Victory Lane. He has won a series-best five races this season and six during his brief career.
Like his win last week at Dover Motor Speedway, Zilisch survived a late rain delay and do-or-die restarts. Last Saturday, he became the youngest circuit pilot to compile five wins (18 years, 11 months, and 27 days), topping Kyle Busch’s previous record (19 years, three months, and 19 days).
