The news is not good for NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Stewart Friesen.

Three days after Friesen survived a violent crash at a dirt-track race in Quebec, Canada and was transported straight to a local hospital, his wife, Jessica, revealed that his “injuries are extensive.”

Friesen has not spoken publicly or personally posted anything on social media since his vicious tumble. In case you missed the awful wreck, here it is.

Wife Of Stewart Friesen Provides New Info About Her Husband’s Condition

In her latest medical update, from Thursday morning, Jessica Friesen said for the second time that her husband will require multiple surgeries. The 42-year-old Canadian has both a broken right leg and a broken pelvis, according to an earlier update.

On Thursday, Jessica Friesen confirmed that her husband has been admitted to a Level One trauma center in New York where all his surgeries will take place.

The driver’s wife gave no timetable for a potential return to racing. However, she made it clear that returning is the goal.

“This will likely not be a quick journey,” Jessica Friesen wrote in a statement, which you can read in its entirety below. “But we continue to work to get Stewart back at the top of his game, on track, where he belongs.”

Putting A Wrap On Stewart Friesen’s 2025 NASCAR Truck Series Season

Given the nature of Stewart Friesen’s injuries, he will almost certainly miss the final nine races of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season.

If that’s indeed the case, his season will end with six top-10 finishes. These include three top-fives and a win — in 16 starts. Friesen currently ranks 13th in the standings. He was set to make the playoffs by virtue of his lone victory, which he scored on June 7 at Michigan International Speedway.

In that race, Friesen took the checkered flag just over a tenth of a second ahead of runner-up Grant Enfinger. He grabbed the lead for the first time with just two laps to go after starting 17th. Prior to Michigan, Friesen hadn’t been to Victory Lane since May 20, 2022 at Texas Motor Speedway.

A four-time Truck Series race winner, Friesen is currently sitting on exactly 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts.

Jessica Friesen does not plan to set up a GoFundMe for her husband. She cautioned anyone who is petitioned for a donation in connection with her husband to ignore that request.
