Nearly two weeks after breaking his collarbone, NASCAR Xfinity Series points leader Connor Zilisch remains poised to compete in Friday night’s Wawa 250 Powered by Coca-Cola at Daytona International Speedway.
Zilisch, who suffered the setback after falling off his car while celebrating his win at Watkins Glen, will continue his quest to earn the points title in his first full season on the circuit.
With a circuit-best six wins, Zilisch leads Justin Allgaier by seven points and Sam Mayer by 42 in the drivers’ standings with three regular-season races remaining.
Driving with a broken collarbone didn’t seem to impact Zilisch’s odds to win at the iconic 2.5-mile tri-oval track. BetOnline Sportsbook tabbed the rookie with the third-best odds at +1000. Austin Hill drew the top odds at +275.
According to a release from @JRMotorsports, Connor Zilisch will be back in the No. 88 this weekend at Daytona.

O’Reilly Auto Parts Earns Series Moniker For 2026
With Xfinity exiting as the circuit’s primary sponsor after 11 seasons, O’Reilly Auto Parts will assume the role in 2026.
NASCAR and the auto parts company signed a multi-year entitlement partnership. The NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series will debut on Jan. 1.
“Like the great sport of NASCAR, O’Reilly Auto Parts was born in America and built on the hard work and drive of passionate people,” president Steve O’Donnell said, as reported by NASCAR.com. “This new partnership allows us to continue to fuel that passion for the next generation of NASCAR’s stars and fans while celebrating the journey we’ve been on together for decades.”
