Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers has requested a trade.
Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, Meyers met with the Raiders’ brass and requested a trade after failing to sign a contract extension. If the Raiders trade Meyers, here are three potential landing spots.
Kansas City Chiefs
#Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers recently met with team brass and requested to be traded, per me and @TomPelissero.

The Raiders trading one of their top receivers to a division rival is not going to happen.
However, the Kansas City Chiefs are the perfect fit for Meyers.
Kansas City’s top receiver, Rashee Rice, still faces discipline from the NFL after his involvement in a Dallas car wreck in March 2024.
Rice’s disciplinary hearing is set for Sept. 30, meaning he will play in the first four games of the year. The prevailing sentiment is that Rice will be suspended somewhere from four to eight games.
That means Rice will likely miss one-third of the NFL season. The Chiefs will look to Xavier Worthy, Hollywood Brown, and JuJu Smith-Schuster to carry the load at receiver.
Since arriving in Las Vegas, Meyers has quickly emerged as one of the league’s most underrated wideouts. Meyers is coming off a career year with 87 receptions for 1,027 yards and four touchdowns. Meyers also did that with Gardner Minshew, Aidan O’Connell, and Desmond Ridder throwing passes.
If Meyers can rack up 1,000 yards with that trio, surely he could do the same with Patrick Mahomes. Meyers would be the perfect insurance for Rice.
New York Giants
"Jalin Hyatt is no lock to be No. 4 WR for Giants," per Ryan Dunleavy.

The New York Giants’ receivers’ room starts with Malik Nabors, who made the 2024 Pro Bowl in his rookie season.
Outside of Nabers, the Giants don’t have a true No. 2 receiver. Darius Slayton and Wan’Dale Robinson, who combined for 1,272 yards in 2024, are the likely candidates to be the Giants’ No. 2 and No. 3 receivers.
Jaylin Hyatt has been a disappointment since being drafted by the Giants in 2023. The former Tennessee product has only 31 receptions in two seasons.
The Giants clearly lack talent at receiver outside of Nabers. Meyers would be a reliable target for either Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, or Jaxson Dart.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Could #16 be getting the 💰 soon?
Jakobi Meyers works at practice Monday as he and the #Raiders are reportedly in talks on an extension. In the last year of his contract, Las Vegas' WR1 recorded career highs in catches (87) and receiving yards (1,027) last season. He turns 29 in… pic.twitter.com/JWrjZeLhMH

There’s a new sheriff in Pittsburgh, and his name is Aaron Rodgers.
The 41-year-old signed a one-year contract to be the quarterback of the Steelers for at least the 2025 season.
Rodgers’ top target will be DK Metcalf, whom the Steelers traded for and then extended earlier this offseason.
There is a serious drop in talent behind Metcalf, with Robert Woods, Calvin Austin III, Scotty Miller, Roman Wilson, and Ben Skowronek fighting for the No. 2 position.
If the Steelers acquire Meyers, he instantly becomes the second option behind Metcalf.
The Steelers have not won a playoff game since the 2016 season. Why not try to win now under Rodgers?
