The Chiefs are in unfamiliar territory. Kansas City has never started 0-2 under Patrick Mahomes. You have to go back to 2014 — Mahomes was at Texas Tech — when the Chiefs started 0-2.
There are two prevailing thoughts about the Chiefs’ struggles. There’s the idea that the Chiefs have taken a step back.
Without Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice, the Chiefs lack dynamic playmaking on the outside.
Mahomes leads the Chiefs in rushing (123 yards) through two games. That’s a recipe for disaster, especially if the Chiefs want to play into early February.
Also, the offensive line is not protecting Mahomes, who has been knocked down the most in the NFL (13).
If you believe the Chiefs will turn it around, you can say that the Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles have two of the best defensive lines they’ll play all season. Plus, Worthy should be back in the lineup for this game, and Rice will return in Week 7.
If you missed last Sunday’s shootout, Giants quarterback Russell Wilson threw for a career-high 450 yards. Malik Nabers recorded nine receptions for 167 yards and two touchdowns.
Despite the offensive performance, the Giants’ defense could not close out the game, allowing the Cowboys to tie the game in regulation and win it in overtime.
New York committed 14 penalties, which is a death sentence in the NFL.
This game is under the lights on Sunday Night Football. If there’s any team that hates playing at night, it’s the Giants, who are 2-19 in their last 21 night games.
Ask yourself this: Are the Chiefs more likely to go 1-2 or 0-3? Sometimes, simple questions like that speak volumes. Kansas should finally get in the win column.
Pick: Chiefs -5.5 (-120)
Best Chiefs vs. Giants Prop Bet

Cam Skattebo might have quietly replaced Tyrone Tracy Jr. as the Giants’ starting running back.
Skattebo played 35 offensive snaps compared to 28 from Tracy.
Did the shootout play a hand in Skattebo having more snaps than Tracy? It might have. However, Skattebo is the more versatile back who can run and catch out of the backfield.
Skattebo’s receiving prop is only 9.5 yards. He’s gone over in two consecutive games. Hopefully, he makes it three-for-three.
