Week 5 of the college football season brings another full DraftKings slate with plenty of GPP angles. Pricing is tight at the top, but there are still spots where you can capture ceiling at value.Below you’ll find must-plays, mid-tier values, and sleepers at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, all based on advanced stats, matchup context, and injury news.
Note: We’ve stretched the definition of “sleeper” here with a $6.8K quarterback and a $5.2K receiver, but their usage and production profiles make them tournament plays at those salaries.
College Football DFS Week 5 Quarterbacks

Must-Play: Taylen Green (Arkansas) – $9,100 – 38.7 FPPG
Dual-threat profile with a 40+ ceiling. Notre Dame’s secondary has been vulnerable, allowing nearly 290 passing yards per game. Even Green’s worst outing hit the 20s. He offers rushing TD upside and explosive-play potential that GPPs demand.
Value QB: Joey Aguilar (Tennessee) – $8,300 – 25.4 FPPG
Aguilar has already posted multiple three-TD games and a 37-point showing in overtime against Georgia. Tennessee’s pace creates extra plays, and his passing volume alone gives him 30+ potential. In a projected shootout with Mississippi State, he’s priced for upside.
QB Sleeper: Fernando Mendoza (Indiana) – $6,800 – 28.7 FPPG
Mendoza has 10 passing TDs and a rushing score across his last two games, missing only three passes in that stretch. Iowa’s run defense will force him to the air, and his efficiency makes 25–30 DK realistic. He’s a lower-salary access point to a high ceiling.
DraftKings College Football Week 5 Running Backs

Must-Play: Bryson Washington (Baylor) – $9,100 – 21.7 FPPG
Oklahoma State is one of the worst run defenses in the country, giving up 258+ yards a game. Washington is in form with 361 yards and four scores across his last three. Expect 20+ carries with multiple TD chances. He’s a GPP core piece.
Value RB: Jonah Coleman (Washington) – $6,900 – 42.2 FPPG
Leads the nation with 10 TDs in three games. Coleman is more than a runner, with multiple chunk plays as a receiver. Even against Ohio State, his pass-game role keeps him live. Already posted a 43-point game; he’s underpriced for that ceiling.
RB Sleeper: Leshon Williams (Kansas) – $3,900 – 15.7 FPPG
Injury to Daniel Hishaw Jr. opens the door. If Hishaw sits, Williams projects as Kansas’ lead back at near-minimum price. Volume plus red-zone work makes him an ideal punt. 18–22 points is realistic if he gets the touches.
DraftKings Week 5 College Football Wide Receivers

Must-Play: Jeremiah Smith (Ohio State) – $9,000 – 27.7 FPPG
Five-star talent already producing like a star. He’s Sayin’s go-to on deep shots and in the red zone. Even strong defenses struggle with his size-speed combo. Two-TD upside is always in play, and that’s slate-winning at WR.
Value WR: O’Mega Blake (Arkansas) – $6,000 – 19.4 FPPG
Has at least five catches in every game with three TDs already. Notre Dame is best attacked through the air, and Blake is Green’s first read. His steady role provides floor, while end-zone equity gives him a 20+ point ceiling.
WR Sleeper: Mario Craver (Texas A&M) – $5,200 – 32.4 FPPG
“Sleeper” feels loose here given his price, but his production (20 catches, 443 yards, and four TDs in just three games) means he should be priced way higher. His lowest output this season is 25.4 FPTS. Auburn has been burned deep, and Craver’s speed makes him the perfect GPP WR to chase another slate-breaking bomb.
