The Cincinnati Bengals lost their most important player when Joe Burrow went down in Week 2 with a severe toe injury. But they may not be willing to call it quits on the 2025 NFL season, as they are still sitting at 2-2 and have plenty of offensive talent.
NFL Rumors: Could The Bengals Trade For Kirk Cousins?
Could they be players on the trade market? And if they are, which quarterbacks might they be interested in dealing for? We take a look at a few options for Cincinnati’s decision makers:

Kirk Cousins — Atlanta Falcons
Kirk Cousins signed a contract two years ago that was supposed to make him the long-term starting quarterback for the Falcons. But he lost his job last season to rookie Michael Penix Jr., and is now the backup on Atlanta’s depth chart. There were trade rumors that surrounded him during the offseason, but there weren’t any NFL teams willing to take on the remainder of his contract.
The Bengals could be desperate enough to bring Cousins in, especially given his experience and history of playing in big games.

Jameis Winston — New York Giants
Jameis Winston signed with the New York Giants during the offseason in hopes that he’d be the backup quarterback. But a month later, the team drafted Jaxson Dart, and Winston wound up in the third spot on the depth chart. With Dart now starting and Russell Wilson serving as the backup, the 31-year-old Winston could be made expendable.
Known as a gunslinger, it would be interesting to watch how Winston would gel with guys like Ja’Marr Chase. There would likely be plenty of fireworks from the Bengals’ offense, but it would come with the risk of interceptions, which is something that comes with the territory for Jameis Winston.

Russell Wilson — New York Giants
Russell Wilson’s career has taken a turn for the worst ever since he left Seattle. He hasn’t been the same quarterback at any of his three stops since, and there is a general thought that he is tarnishing his NFL legacy with his performance over the past four years. But with his stop with the Giants being yet another failure, Wilson would have nothing to lose by finding a new team to finish out the season with.
